DIY How To Grow Moss on a Container


There are few thing that are more beautiful that an object covered in moss. Ever wondered how you could replicate this look in your own home or garden? Because moss can grow on any hard surface including tree bark, rocks, and the ground it takes very little maintenance. Once you find a shady locations in an area that is damp and cool the possibilities are endless. This recipe covers an area of about one-square-foot. For larger projects, multiply as needed.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup of plain yogurt
1/4 cup of beer
1/4 cup of moss
Covers an area of 1-square-foot

Directions
1. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, water, and moss then mix evenly to break down the moss. Your mixture should be the consistency of pancake batter.

2. Spread your mixture thickly with a spatula or brush over the porous area that you would like to grow moss.

3. Allow your moss to take hold of your container object. Mist weekly with water and keep it away from direct sunlight.
